Marsh Goblin™ was born in the tidal creeks, spartina grass, oyster beds, stained water, mud, and marshes of the Georgia coast.
I’m Josh Jones—Army veteran, fisherman, boat owner, and the guy behind Marsh Goblin. Like most people with a job, a family, and a boat that still has to be trailered to the ramp, I’m not on the water nearly as much as I’d like. But when I can get away, you’ll usually find me exploring the creeks, rivers, sounds, and marshes of coastal Georgia aboard my skiff, Goldie.
She got the name because she’s not too big, not too small—she’s just right for slipping through the skinny water where Marsh Goblins recharge.
I’m not a tournament angler or professional guide, and I’m not going to pretend I have fishing completely figured out. Some days I find the fish. Some days I find oyster beds. Either way, I’d rather be out there.
That attitude became Marsh Goblin.
Marsh Goblin is a coastal brand built around the places between land and open water. The tidal creeks, spartina grass, oyster beds, stained water, mud, sandbars, skiffs, bait shops, and boat ramps that make the coast what it is.
Fishing is a big part of it, but Marsh Goblin isn’t just a fishing brand. It’s for people who know there’s more to the coast than beaches, resorts, and palm-tree graphics. It’s for the people running a skiff through a creek at first light, standing on a poling platform looking for nervous water, idling down to admire a pod of dolphins, exploring a low-tide sandbar, sitting at a waterfront bar after a long day, or disappearing down some little piece of water just to see where it goes.
The designs come from that world. Some are serious. Some are stupid. Most contain a little of both. The goal is simple: make quality shirts, hats, and gear we’d actually want to own that feel like they came from the coast—not from a marketing department trying to sell you a version of it.
Marsh Goblin was born in Georgia, but it doesn’t stop at the state line. From the Outer Banks to Galveston and all the coastal communities between, Marsh Goblin belongs anywhere saltwater meets marsh grass—where life moves with the water and everything gets a little better when you get back to it.
We’re building this thing one design, one trip, and one tide at a time.
Welcome to Marsh Goblin.
